Extend
The Salvation Army's DNA is found in its work within the poor, needy, outcast and lonely of this world. This is still a priority of SACC. We value people and purpose and therefore seek to meet people who have lost direction, have made mistakes and need relationship and purpose re-established in their lives.
We don't extend our hadn because we feel it is part of our heritage therefore we must but because we look at the example of Jesus and his dealings with people and feel that we should follow it.
Jesus says,
"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'"
Matthew 25:45
