Captain John Mclean
John grew up in a small Scottish town called Stranraer. He came from a local council estate and was greatly influenced by his late grandmother who although not a Christian until just before her death, taught him to love and value people and life.
He knew he was called to serve God in church leadership and entered bible college in 1999. He has served in leadership positions in local church, regional youth ministry and church planting and comes to Bicester with a passion to see people meet their full potential in Jesus and in life.
John has a MA in Mission and Evangelism and his driving passion is that the local church would be a transforming influence in the local community by being authentic, relevant, and radical.
When John isn't leading church he loves spending time with his family, reading, attempting to play the piano and chatting. He looks forward to meeting you and hopes that SACC will be a place you can call family.
Kathryn (aka 'Kat') grew up in a village near Southampton. She knew from her early teenage years that she was called to serve God in church leadership and so she entered bible college in 2004. Since entering bible college Kathryn, along with husband John, has had leadership experience in local church, regional youth ministry and church planting.
Kathryn and John have three beautiful children, Honor, Charis and Jacob. She has a passion to see children and young people encouraged and their lives influenced by God so that they can realise their full potential.
